ABOUT CMD

CMD - Careers Management Design is a student careers advice and support company founded by two brothers passionate about social mobility and opportunity. Our mission is to empower students to explore their career ambitions and guide them towards achieving their professional goals. We are dedicated to providing personalized support and valuable resources to help students thrive in their chosen career paths.

We have experience representing top companies in London as ambassadors and specialise in technology consulting and sales respectively.

Our services are split into two main customer bases. We work with students, education platforms and universities to support early career seekers. We also offer a range of B2B services in marketing, customer strategy, ambassador management and outbound / lead-gen. Our clients value our experience as both recent students and young business strategists in competitive professional fields.

Meet the FOUNDERS

Co-Founder

Liam Elio Colabuono-McDonagh

After completing his Bachelors and Master in Geography and Satellite Science respectively from the University of Nottingham, Liam is now a technology consultant in the nuclear and defence market. Between pro-bono, independent and corporate contracts, he holds 4 years of business consulting experience, having worked with small local businesses, SMEs and multi-national corporations. Liam uses his previous experience in to support the strategic direction, launch and growth of our student focused B2B clients. Liam has presented at Durham, Nottingham, London, KCL, SCAF, London RINA, RHUL and International seminars.

Liam runs our 1-1 student calls, private executive calls and offers support in-house to our B2B partner Gradvisor.

Co-Founder

Paul Nino Colabuono-McDonagh

Having completed his degree in PPE at RHUL and working in paid social media, headhunting, and marketing roles during his time at University, Paul now supports our student clients with practical advice and a focus on promoting freelancing, personal projects, and paid-to-hire contracts. On our B2B side, Paul manages 6 social media strategy accounts and is deeply embedded with a variety of personal and company pages supporting social media strategy and lead-gen. He works closely as a LinkedIn Specialist in-house with a US-based marketing company.

Paul has built a strong lead-gen following on LinkedIn with 13,000 connections and 100000 year to date impressions. Let him help you structure your LinkedIn personal and business pages for success.

Business and Finance mentor

Premi Sarveswaran

From Psychology to Finance Premi represents our mission at CMD Careers. From a CV support session to final interview Premi is moving on to a new exciting opportunity as a Business Analyst for a major bank.

When she broke the good news to our team she also expressed her wish to join our core team is giving back to students offering 1-1 sessions in the same model our Co-Founder Liam-Elio and Shao.

Marketing Specialist

James Kirby

A graduate from the University of Nottingham, James brings his networking prowess, business acumen and experience with graphics and logo design to CMD B2B clients.

Responsible for building our marketing strategy on the B2B side of CMD Careers, he brings energy and enthusiasm to all our engagements.

Sales and B2B Specialist

Matthew Brennan

Matthew Brennan is an early-career professional currently working as a Sales Representative at CMD Careers, with a growing interest in business development, client engagement, and commercial growth within the early-careers and education support space. Living the values of CMD, he is enrolled into a placement with a major automotive player.

A new but mighty addition to the team welcome Matt.

Business and Leadership mentor

Shao Heng Lai

Shao is in his early professional career, having worked in logistics, leadership and operational environments. He recently completed his year in industry placement with BMW and has served in the Singapore Armed Forces as an assistant instructor and training specialist.

Available for sessions supporting logistics, operations and leadership focus roles for young professionals and students.
